What is an Aura & Can I see it?

Your aura is the energetic, electromagnetic, scientifically measurable field that you radiate.

If you have or want to develop the ability to see your aura, good news! It’s completely doable.

Energy is the universal language that ties all living beings together. The ability to see this energy is referred to as clairvoyance. Those who don’t see it but are still sensitive to energies will often feel layers of the aura.

okay, so, what makes up my aura?

7 Layers of the Aura

The Etheric Layer | Etheric Body (closest to the body)

This layer is tells us about our physical health & is seen radiating around 2 inches out from the body. This layer is often clear, & is the base layer of your aura. It is connected to your base chakra: Muladhara or Root Chakra, which is about physical survival, our needs, and security. This layer helps control your physical consciousness.

The Emotional Layer | Emotional Body (2nd closest to the body)

This layer tells us about our emotions & it extends 2 inches - 4 inches from the body. This layer is connected to your second chakra, Svadhistana or Sacral Chakra, which is our center of sexuality, emotions, desire for pleasure, & creativity.

Like memories are stored in the brain, our emotional memories are stored in your 2nd chakra. This layer is crucial for communicating your mood, as the color can manifest differently in the 2nd layer depending on how you are feeling.

The 2nd layer communicates with the 1st, allowing it to integrate the information into the physical body.

The Mental Layer | Mental Body (3rd closest to the body)

Our Mental Layer communicates exactly what it sounds like - Our thought processes, logical mind, intellectual outlook & mental state are visible in this layer. Mental illness or conflict can also be seen here. It is 4 inches - 8 inches from the body, & is connected to the third chakra, Manipura or Solar Plexus, which is about realizing your personal desires and intentions & moving forward with them.

With it’s connection to the 2nd layer of our aura, confidence, self-esteem, self-image, & self-confidence are reflected here in the 3rd layer.

The Astral Bridge Layer | Astral Body (4th closest to the body)

Transcending out of body, out of body experiences, or “astral projection” is tied to this layer of the aura. The Astral Bridge Layer can be seen around 8 inches - 12+ inches from the body. It is a bridge that connects the lower 3 and higher 3 auric layers. While the lower 3 layers communicate our physical self, this layer begins communicating our spiritual self.

The Astral Bridge layer is connected to our 4th chakra, Anahata or Heart Chakra, which is our center of love, well being, compassion, connection, and life balance.

The Etheric Template Layer | Etheric Template (5th closest to the body)

The Etheric layer stretches around 13 inches - 24+ inches from the body and lets us know your personal energy signature! This is your Etheric Body Template, which translates your overall physical self unto the start of the astral plane. Your personality & overall “vibe” is present here. This layer is higher in frequency and is about communication and sound.

This layer is connected to our 5th chakra, Vishuddha or Throat Chakra, which focuses on speaking your personal truth, communication, and self-expression.

The Celestial Layer | Celestial Body(6th closest to the body)

The layer that stretches from 24 inches - 36+ inches from our body is our Celestial Layer. This is where our mind’s eye, psychic intuition, and communication with the divine is centered. It’s connected to our 6th chakra, Anja or Third Eye Chakra, and facilitates our inner light and spiritual self to come forth in how we live. Our spiritual self is unconditional love, & higher honesty is channeled through this part of our aura.

The Ketheric Layer | Casual Layer (7th closest to the body)

Knowledge of connection transformed into Understanding. We are all one. Acknowledgement of infinite abundance. The largest layer reaching 36 inches - 60+ inches from your body is the Casual Layer, the Ketheric Layer. It meshes all of the other layers to hold them together and protects them, allowing them to communicate. It is Connected to the 7th chakra, Sahasrara or Crown Chakra, a center of the higher state of consciousness that is one with the source, and hosts spiritual transformation.
